2008年8月23日に別府市中央公民館にて国際料理会を行いました。留学生13名、協力隊OBOG10名、一般19名の参加者です。事前に料理レシピをシェフ（学生リーダー）に準備して頂き、当日はシェフから料理を勉強しました。皆さん楽しい時間を過ごしました。

この料理会の目的は地域交流です。他国で2年以上ボランティア活動してきた青年海外協力隊OBOGは、ボランティアと言っても他国では、その国の人々にずいぶん助けられてきました。特に知らない土地で受けたホスピタリティには心に響く温かさを感じることを、身にしみて感じてきたメンバーの集まりです。この料理会で、この国の人と、この国を訪れた人々がまず交流し、さらにはこの会をキッカケにして付き合いが広がっていくことを願っています。どうぞ積極的に電話番号やメールアドレスの交換を行ってください。

Thank you for coming here today, this party is International cooking party organized by Oita Overseas Cooperation Association(OOCA). We are the members servicing as volunteers in the foreign countries more than two years. As a member of volunteer, we were helped or cooperated by the foreign local people. Especially, their hospitality in the unknown place or situation gave us much heartful warmness in the activities. We are having the gratitude to the hospitality.
